For us, it happened in the middle of a roof replacement.
The weather changed.
Rain started falling.
The roof wasn't finished.
Standing there, I remember thinking...
"This is every contractor's worst nightmare."
Then I caught myself.
No.
This isn't my worst nightmare.
It's the homeowner's.
At that moment, nothing else mattered.
Not the schedule.
Not the cost.
Not whose fault it was.
Only one thing mattered.
Protecting someone else's home.
That's what ownership looks like.
Not when everything goes perfectly. When it doesn't.
